Meet gentle Bennie!  This little beagle has a sensitive soul and his little heart really wants to love. He has been making good progress in overcoming his uncertainty with people that his past must have instilled, and he is  learning that human affection is really a nice thing. He does have some special needs, but this beagle boy truly compensates with his kind and obedient spirit. Bennie's calm and meek personality allows him to do super well with other dogs. He is not much of a romper, but has been persuaded a few times by other dogs to join in play. He especially enjoys a good game of chase where he can run full speed! Bennie is quiet and seldom barks, but when he does, it is usually one woof at a time and it is true beagle music.  He loves brisk walks, food, and treats. He definitely has a beagle appetite but he is polite and takes food from your hand very gently. Bennie is totally housebroken in his foster home and knows how to use a doggie door. He is comfortable in a crate when there is a reason for him to spend time there.

Bennie was diagnosed with diabetes, but his foster mom is amazed at how EASY is to give him the tiny little shots he needs twice a day (only 4 units). It is easy even for a person that has never done it before! The cost of insulin and syringes could be as low as $30/month if you are a good shopper, and we would be glad to share our sources! Please watch his video below and you can see for yourself how simple it is!
If there is a dog-loving family out there that has a heart for adopting rescues that need gentle love, you will definitely want to meet this beautiful boy!

Special Needs: Diabetic.
