ADOPTION PENDING


Mae holds all the qualities we love about beagles! She is a pretty girl with soft floppy ears and a gentle, affectionate, and easy-going demeanor. At 8 months old, Mae still has plenty of puppy energy but has shown zero destructive behavior. She LOVES to walk and has been enjoying multiple long strolls per day around her fosters' neighborhood where she admires (but doesn't chase) the squirrels, birds, and neighborhood cats. She walks well on leash but is a strong girl so the use of a harness works wonders. Mae is not very vocal and has only expressed her beagle voice through little whines while working on crate training. On that note, Mae sleeps soundly in her crate next to her fosters' bed at night and only made a little fuss at first, but settled down after a few minutes. Mae was surrendered to SEBR with her sister (Malibu) due to no fault of their own, so she is used to having a canine companion. She makes efforts to play with her beagle foster brother, but as an older gentleman he prefers to be left unbothered. Mae would thrive in a home with another playful dog. Potty training is still a work in progress and Mae's success would increase in a  home with a fenced yard. Mae is ready for a sleepover.
