ADOPTION PENDING

Lila, now a 6-month-old puppy, was born in the  Alabama woods on July 4th. She was taken in by a kind man in who lived nearby.  He told us her momma was a beagle but daddy was a small, long-haired chocolate lab mix. Lila’s conformation and coloration is all beagle, except for largish feet.  She has the cutest "cowlick" on her forehead which kind of makes her look like she's wearing a mini mohawk. :) Lila has adjusted really well in her Florida foster home. She knows some basic commands but is not yet consistent in obeying them... sit and stay about 50 % of the time; come - if she feels like it, but she will, at least glance in your direction In response to the command.  However, if you have a treat in your hand and she knows it, she will almost bowl you over before your mouth can form the word.  She has been introduced to a leash but is not yet comfortable with it. She loves running around in a fenced yard, playing fetch and tug-O-war, and romping with other dogs. She is still a puppy and has lots of energy. Lila has now been spayed and is ready for a sleepover!
