ADOPTION PENDING
Arrow is a small boy at only 14+ lbs, and has lived his short life so far in a trailer filled with about 50 other beagle mixes. We're not sure about his past experiences, but we are delighted to be a part of his present and shape his future. Arrow has been in his foster home for only a week and it is amazing how far he has come. He Is now totally enjoying his new Beagle girl sibling and has become quite affectionate with his foster mom and dad. When picked up he will nuzzle contentedly. Meeting new people brings back a little timidity at first, but once they show him a little gentle affection, he melts. There are no cats or children at their house but given the temperament he exhibits, we would believe that he would be good with them. He shows no aggression with food and is actually very hesitant to take a treat from your hand, preferring you to put it down and back off a bit. He is still a bit skittish with loud noises or new things and will retreat into his crate where he feels safe. Arrow appears to have a moderate energy level and enjoys lots of quiet time in his crate, but when he comes out he loves to run and play with the other dog - he doesn't play much with toys yet. Potty training is progressing as long as he is taken out regularly. Foster mom is working to familiarize Arrow with being on a leash, but for now we would very much like for him to have a fenced yard. Arrow has already been neutered and is heartworm negative so he is ready to go on a sleepover.
